Documentary Narrative Analysis-Sugar Rush

I have chosen to do a narritve analysis of the documentary 'sugar rush' as it follows todorov theory in the sense of a diabetic, this documentary is about one mans experience with diabetes and how it affected this life and as the story progresses the theory becomes clearer and it is easy to see it followed through.the documentary is aimed at the general public and possibly people struggling with diabetes

1st state of equilibrium

This is the start of the documentary even though the documentary follows the general outline of the theory it is changed here as we start off with the disturbance of the main character explaining through visuals what had happened to him.

2nd the recognition of the problem

This is where we get to a resolution and this mean we come to an agreement within the documentary, in reference to the sugar rush documentary this is when our main character finds himself being able to fight back to his diabetes.

3rd attempt to fix the problem

this is when he and oner diabetics decide to stand together and put an end to unhealthy living when they have diabetes and therefore an attempt to fix the problem while trying to find a permanent solution.

In this stage we see scenes of professionals speaking about the disease and how many people it affect and the dangers of untreated diabetes this is supposed to connect with the audience and educate them further on this disease.

4th change in the equilibrium:

This is the final stage of the theory, and as we see in the documentary this is where all the other patients with diabetes come into the story and we are shown events in which they celebrate their diseases and promote staying healthy and fit
