Website Analysis- //Cuepictures

 //Cuepictures

Website link:
http://www.cuepictures.co.uk/latestprojects.html

The First impression

The first impression I had of this website is that it follows the standard grid lay out this is show as you can see the hyperlink to each separate page in  the top right hand corner and the Production company logo in the left. The background image of this is a good choice as it is a high quality photo intriguing the user to want to spend more time on this website. Just looking at this you can see the home page has a lot of information in itself for example the two columns of ‘in development’ and ‘ completed’  providing more information than a short film website would usually give as it is also telling you about products that are on their way.

The layout

Right away you can tell the layout of the website, everything is clearly labeled and the background image changes every time you click a different hyperlink. I think this is a good idea because it keeps the user engaged with the website .

 //Who we are

The first Hyperlink is the ‘who we are’ page, this page gives you information on the cast and crew members as well as a quote and their image on the side, it also has links to their social media pages eg linkedin and IMDb.

//Lastest Projects

The next page consists of Projects( short films) all the information need on each film, there is also an addition feature that shows the projects in development, this allows the user to engage with the project every step of the way through pre production till distribution, this can benefit immensely   in sales  as the user can stay update and gain more interest as they follow the project.

//ShowReel

This feature is very prestigious to short film producers as it gives the user a look into the short film just through the visuals. This means the can see snips and images from the setting,
actors and etc but does not give the short film away. This are still images containing means of the short films.

//Contact Us

The last hyperlink leads to the contact page, this is where you can write an email to the company, there are also links to the social medias and a column for latest tweet updates.

The colour scheme

The colour scheme of the website is very basic, its black and white with the hyperlinks in white, however as the background image changes each time this changes the colour scheme slightly as the image gives each page a different look. This gives the website depth even though it is very simplistic.

The Font

The font of the website is the same throughout, once again this font is very basic the only time there is a difference is between the title of the page and normal font, this is done by using the bold feature. The Font is ‘Calibiri (body)’.
