i used the polygonal lasso tool to remove my subject from the image, i wanted my main focus of the postcard to be the image of Jeppe.once this was done, my main image was now brought up on a blank canvas.
Above is the result, after the background was removed.
i then used the erase tool to remove the extra bits left over from the background, as for the hair i watched a tutorial on how to cut it out of the background this involved the magic wand tool to hover over the image to get the perfect shape.
A major part of the postcard is the text. I used the traditional horizontal type tool to write all the text, this was used for the title and credits as well as the text inside the award feathers.
These are just some of the tools used to create my postcard and i was able to use photoshop to my full advantage for this.
